SLAM! Sports Canada Evans isn't exactly a gifted scorer, having averaged just 4.3 points in 514 appearances (270 starts) with the Seattle SuperSonics, Denver Nuggets and Sixers. But he makes his presence felt on the defensive end, averaging 6.9 rebounds per outing and ...

Kevin Durant – Oklahoma City Thunder – Drafted 2nd overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in 2007. Without a doubt Durant has made a bigger impact on the NBA than Greg Oden, but he's also a better player than 90% of the league after just two seasons. ...

Lewis went straight from high school in Houston to the NBA, best remembered for waiting longer in the draft green room than any player before the Seattle SuperSonics drafted him in the second round in 1998. Dwight Howard and Jordan Farmar (2003) also ...

As are most people around the world I am thankful for my family, my job and home, the general happiness of life. Like so many people in Seattle I do of course miss my team and have regrets that this year they are not here to celebrate with me. No Sonics stocking stuffers, no 2009 team calendar, no g...

Credit where credit is due. The team traded for another first round picka and guaranteed contract and I’m going to assume Clay Bennett authorized the contract. DJ White is an established college player and I expect that they think he will make the team. Not a sexy pick but between him and Devon...

The 1977-78 season with the Sonics was the best of Webster’s pro career. He averaged 14 points and 12.6 rebounds and played a major role in helping lead Seattle to the National Basketball Association championship round against the Washington Bullets. After Washington beat the Sonics for t...

This morning, the Herald covered the Lakers, the Sonics and the Chinese team, but still no Celtics news. The Globe has a piece on video games and athletes but again, no Celtics news. No news on who Danny is talking to about trades, no news on Tony's rehab, no news on who is in Boston working out. Nothing. This news block out is nerve wracking. The Wizards are shopping a package that would include Navarro and a salary dump. Haywood or Thomas could be part of the package. The Heat are interested and I hope Danny is checking into it. Our own Q has his blog going again and discusses 3 things that the Celtics need to go right. Boston Sports Review discusses the draft night deal for Ray Allen and 16 fateful words.
