Suns get J-Rich in blockbuster trade

The Phoenix Suns' transition from the Mike D'Antoni era to the Steve Kerr's reign of terror continues. The Suns traded Raja Bell, Boris Diaw and Sean Singletary to the Charlotte Bobcats for Jason Richardson, Jared Dudley and a 2nd round draft pick in 2010.

A few thoughts...

Steve Nash is struggling in his new role. He's being encouraged to run the break but also run the half court offense through Shaquille O'Neal. Nash is averaging 8 assists a game and 3.8 turnovers. He just doesn't look like the same player.

We root for Shaq now

1. We actually have a center now. Think about that for a second. The Suns are now a power team. All of Shaq's title teams have feasted on points in the paint and behind the line because defenses double and sag. The Suns were already an efficient offensive team now we have Shaq in the middle.
