It's time to scratch off one of the more promising freely available LOOGYs today. The Milwaukee Brewers have signed R.J. Swindle to a one-year major league deal. The contract is apparently a split deal, but Swindle will make the 400k minimum if he stays in the majors. Not only is that an awesome d...

What we knew: Arguably the Brewers' best catching prospect, Salome was the Pioneer League MVP in 2005, a mid and postseason All Star in the South Atlantic League in 2006, and following an injury-shortened 2007 season, he was a mid and postseason Southern League All Star for Huntsville in...

Three members of the Brewerfan.net staff picked Matt LaPorta, who very well may have taken home this award had he not been traded as the major cog in the Sabathia deal. One took Alcides Escobar, who split the player of the year honors from the Milwaukee Brewers official minor league awards wi...

As for Zambrano getting his no-hitter in Miller Park…well, c’est la vie, I suppose. It was truly a double whammy that the Astros, being the home team, opted to use the visitors’ dugout for the games, as they were more accustomed to them…which meant the Cubs’ got to celebrate in the Brewers’ l...

Via BTF comes this gem of Robothal genuflecty silliness, a possible trade for C.C. Sabathia: The Brewers aren't the only team pushing hard for Indians left-hander C.C. Sabathia. The Dodgers also are heavily in the mix, according to major-league sources.

BCB: Are you in Arizona now? BCB: So, did you know the Brewers were interested in drafting you before they did? CK: The Reds, Cardinals, and Cubs were the most interested. BCB: Oh so you're a Cardinals fan? Well, better than the Cubs, I suppose.
