Opening Criterium Tour Down Under external link

The Tour Down Under has started with the Opening Criterium, which is sort of like a prologue to the Tour Down Under but the times won't count towards the General Classification. And it's a good thing because Lance Armstrong came in a very honorable 64th place.
This opening race is not a difficult one and it was not one for Lance Armstrong to win since it's a hectic one and more suited for sprinters, and Lance Armstrong is a stage racing cycling bull.

I personally think that it was a great come back for Lance because he had the chance to get back in the excitement of competing without the pressure of winning.

The Tour Down Under will officially start on the 20th and you can watch it live on CyclingTV

I am so excited about Lance Armstrong's comeback that I can hardly sleep. This years folks, it's going to be one of my best years in my life!

RESULTS OF THE OPENING CRITERIUM

1. Robbie McEwen (Aus), Katusha, 51km in 1:04:32

3. Graeme Brown (Aus), Rabobank, s.t.
