Here are comments found around the Pistons boards during game 3 with the Celtics. These are definitely more fun to read when we win. Enjoy!
IF the Pistons get this game.....they will be smelling blood in the water and kill Boston in Game 4. I can't see Boston winning this game though.
Say a prayer or whatever you believe in that the Pistons won't do their typical "Letdown Game" after a big win
My concern is the Celtics are just due to win one on the road. The Pistons need to win both home games to keep the advantage. They gotta keep the Celts role players down and limit the Big Three to outside shots
I don't care if Boston is 0-6 on the road. That zero can change to a one real quick.
The boys better come out hungry. Our boys, not theirs. Theirs will hopefully come out with tired legs and major depression.
Keys to victory: Send Ratliff. To Men's Wearhouse for a nice Slovenian suit. Theo comes out looking good at bargain prices, and the Pistons win Game 3. "I guarantee it!"
Throwing the first punch is extremely important. The C's have little confidence on the road. And a strong first quarter that lets them know whose house this is could set the tone for both games.
Has anyone every bothered to check out the "big threes" playoff road winning %'s? They are beyond crap. Together its at like 25%, the highest independent one is like 27%(Garnett I think). Its a combo of having un-clutch players, and players who just shrink on the road, and in 4th
LMAO at this effort and Billups getting stripped by Perkins.
That was MOS def a flop by Rip KG had a right to argue
Rip gets away with a lot on the defensive end
We have a great replacement if Billups gets in foul trouble.
Boston does not have a great replacement when Garnett gets in foul trouble.
Doc Rivers can't coach he just has a lot of talent.
Of course, as soon as I say the Celtics can't score, they start scoring.
Boston's "other guys" woke up.
Chauncey Billups is quite possibly the biggest fraud in the league.
K.G. Looks like he has his own personal dunk contest going on. Where's the D??
You can't come out flat for a game 3. I guess their satisfied with being the only team to win in Boston. Nothing else seems to matter to them.
Boston's 4-10 have outscored the whole Piston team. Guess they don't need the Big 3, they can take us on with just Posey, Cassell, Rondo, Perkins, etc.
You don't outscore BOS by 15+ in a half. This one is done.
Boston's biggest problem is that they can't run home at halftime, they must play us 24 more minutes.
Oh man...again with the Bill Russell interview??? Why arent there ever any Pistons interview...oh wait we do not have any superstars
Bill Russell is truly a legend. Truly. I want an autobiography from him just so I can soak in the knowledge from his pristine mind.
How much worse can it get? The worst part of it is KG and Ray Allen were in foul trouble for a good stretch, and we had our advantage canceled out by a 10-0 run before they got back...
Were not gonna win again in Boston, so game 4 doesn't matter, this game decided the series.
Even when they're up 22, the Celtics are still outhustling the Pistons.
I hate the fact that we're the team that had to give the Celtics their first road playoff win. Even Atlanta and Cleveland could protect their homecourt. Well, I guess they were due.
Boston bench is even killing us with 41 points.
At least we showed some heart in the end. Boston played a fantastic game. Their "other guys" won't play this well again, I don't think.
Tonight, I quit as a FAN!
Are the fans booing the Pistons?
I believe they were/are. They deserve it though...sad to say.
Vitamin Water works for Ray Allen. Try it.
They're playing so bad that it almost looks like they're "throwing" the game on purpose just to let Boston win their only game on the road.
I mean, this isn't really a surprise- Boston IS the better team this year,
I TOTALLY disagree, from top to bottom Detroit is the better team, hands down.
Garnett's wide eyes and screaming face is going to give me nightmares...in slow motion!!!!
Pretty sad when the other team's center has more assists than your starting point guard
One more thing...did anyone hear that Boston finally won on the road???? I mean, not sure if anyone caught the announcers saying it at least 10 times since the ending of the game....
A huge, 12-person fight broke out four rows behind me.
It was awesome.
And so bad.
At the same time.
Kids were confused, women were calling for security/scared, and guys were wondering if they should impress their date by trying to break up the fight.
Other than that, the game was a huge disappointment and I hope to forget it.
Boston played well, but they can play much better too. I have no idea what Detroit team will show up in the next few games--and if it will be enough. Just wait and see.
Boston has taken more games off during the playoffs than we have. What's so cool about Boston? That they won titles over 20 years ago? That their star player looks like a moron and pounds his chest whenever he makes a FT? I could care less who America wants to see win. Most of the "Americans" will root for Boston because they enjoy Garnett screaming like a girl after every basket.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news and/or reality, but Imo, Boston is the better team. I think Detroit has a chance because they are playing Boston when they are not playing their best basketball.
A part of me thinks we deserved to lose not just because of tenacity, but the fact that we decided to have a white-out.

On Chuck Daly: Big Al: "Chuck Daly, in a way, ruined the NBA…he caused rules changes." Eno: "Daly had all the credentials to be a Pistons coach in 1983, which were none!" Eno: "He was the first NBA coach who really put it out there that this is a player’s league." Big Al: "He wasn’t a great Xs and Os guy, like Larry Brown, but he could manage people." Eno: "I remember when Chuck replaced Bill Laimbeer in the 1990 Finals with William Bedford for a few minutes in Game Three. I thought, ‘Wow, what a message.’" Big Al: "His death hit me hard." On the Red Wings-Ducks: Eno: "Brian Rafalski hasn’t played a minute in this series, and Kris Draper hasn’t played a minute in the playoffs, yet here they are, on the verge of going back to the conference finals."
