NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks will raise the curtain on the new season with two games against the Los Angeles Kings in London, the National Hockey League said on Wednesday.
The score-at-will Washington Capitals put three in the net in a 2 1/2-minute span in the third period Wednesday night, igniting a 5-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks and giving the Eastern Conference's top team its longest winning streak in 26 years.
